Well,
I have officially landed in Georgia at my new apartment. It sounds more bland than it really was. Let me tell you the story:
When we first arrived at the apartment and walked through the door, we could tell something wasn't right. We found empty food containers/take out boxes in the oven, refrigerator, and pantry. We also found a pillow and sheet in the bedroom, some porn in the bathroom drawer, and a mountain bike in the guest bedroom! It belonged (apparently) to a person who was living in the apartment illegally for a while. (it had been vacant for 2 months). Once maintenance came and cleaned everything up we began moving things into the apartment. That process went fairly well until the Comcast installer showed up. He told me that the main office said that my Linksys modem wouldn't work because it was transferred from a different state. (That doesn't make any sense to anyone who I have told this story to) So I am now renting (for $3 a month) a dinky modem that came with a busted power cable. They will get their chance to hear from me tomorrow! I went to the Kani House Restaurant for dinner with the managers/owners of The School Box. It is pretty much like the Wasabi type of experience. Then we went to a clubhouse at the Town Lakes Golf Course to play Bunko for some prizes. I have never played before, but apparently it takes no skill because I ended up in 2nd place at the end of the evening which netted me a $125 Kohl's gift card! I am now slowly drifting off to sleep at the computer so I think I will call it a night so I can hit the ground running tomorrow for my first day as the Marketing Coordinator!
